Gofer Pre-Registration
This information pertains to Otakon 2011.
Due to the large number of Gofers required to help at Otakon 2011, Gofer Operations is opening Gofer pre-registration to everyone (for a limited time). Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive an e-mail from Gofer Ops. Please be sure that your spam filters will not block messages from otakorp.org.
What this means:
- You are guaranteed a Gofer slot.
- You do not have to stand in line for Friday morning Gofer Call.
- You will be eligible to attend either of the Thursday evening Orientations.
- Processing your pre-registration will take place at the Gofer orientation.
What this does NOT mean:
- You are NOT pre-registered for the con itself. You STILL need to pre-register for Otakon.
- Not all submissions will be accepted. We need TOP-NOTCH people for Otakon Gofers.
That means you present yourself well, put Otakon’s needs before your own when on duty,
and carry a friendly, helpful attitude with everyone you deal with, members, staff and
fellow Gofers alike. In addition, you must meet all the requirements mentioned on the
Volunteering: Basics page.
There IS a time and number limit!
- Gofer Pre-registration Deadline: July 3, 2011. Pre-registration limit: 175 (sorry, we have to give the Friday morning Gofer call a chance too)
